The Short Shorts ezp® Playsuit White Tencel/Linen
$318.77 $356.28
This summer I wanted to focus on light and bright - something to pull us out of the tracksuits and leggings we've been wearing for the last year or so.
The Short Shorts ezp® Playsuit is just that - and could be perfect either for a party or as a change of outfit if your wedding dress isn't the most comfortable for dancing!
The ties down the back of this playsuit let any cool breeze through and the pretty tucks on the back of the top give structure and shape.
The short culotte-style shorts are soft and slightly floaty for hot summer days and a couple of clever tucks give a beautiful shape to your bum.
Also - there’s pockets that actually fit things (your phone and a lipstick at least!)
This style is made from a linen/TENCEL™ mix fabric which gives it a curious texture - the TENCEL™ gives it a beautiful drape, a lot like a heavy silk, whilst the linen provides some structure and acts to balance the softness of the TENCEL™. I'm in love!
How To Use The Bathroom In This Jumpsuit
It's easy - no more faffing around when you need the toilet!
First, undo the buttons either side of the waistband.
Undo the zips each side.
Go about your business.
Once you're done, pull up the zips - carefully! You could do the buttons first if you like, then you have both hands to re-do the zips.
Size + Fit Advice
The Short Shorts ezp® Playsuit is a looser fit playsuit, with a fitted waistband so if you're petite or have a shorter torso I would recommend sizing down. The shorts are quite roomy - very forgiving after a big lunch or for sitting in the park without flashing everything you've got.
If you would like a custom shorts length, please contact orders@weareleim.com to discuss - tall and petite people are absolutely welcome here!
The Short Shorts ezp® Playsuit has an inside leg measurement of 8cm.
Maisie is wearing a size 8 and is 5'7".
Hetty's Styling Tips
Ahh so of course this style is crying out for some fun colour! A bright shoe (some Castañer Wedges for me!) and some bright lipstick and you're good to do.
My poor razor won't know what hit it this summer!
What Makes This Jumpsuit Special?
I love the shape to the back of The Short Shorts ezp® Playsuit - it's a little bit playful with a peek of skin between the ties, and a bit demure with the capped sleeves and tucks.
If you're so inclined, I'd wear this style without a bra (no judgement if you want to wear one though 🧡)
How To Care for Your Short Shorts ezp® Playsuit
The Short Shorts ezp® Playsuit is machine washable on a handwash setting with non-biological detergent.
Please try to use an eco, detergent and do not let the buttons 'sit' in water for too long!
You will probably need to iron this jumpsuit on your iron's hottest setting, with plenty of steam - it's a TENCEL™/linen mix so can take the heat! I'd also iron it inside out to avoid any accidents.
How Is This Playsuit Sustainable?
The Short Shorts ezp® Playsuit is made from a European linen/TENCEL™ mix fabric. Linen is made from flax, a strong plant best grown in northern Europe. It needs little or no fertilisers and due to the local climate, little extra water.
The Advisory Commission Report to the European Parliament stated that flax cultivation has positive effects on eco-system diversity as it allows for an “environmental pause”. One hectare of flax can retain 3.7 tonnes of CO2. Every part of the plant is used, what isn’t used to produce linen can be used to make linseed oil, paper, cattle feed or even soap.
It also doesn’t always require the use of pesticides as it can grow in poor quality soil. Linen is therefore almost naturally organic. It is completely biodegradable, recyclable and due to its natural absorbency, it requires less dye than cotton. This means that linen scores high on the ecological chart.
The fabric was made by a mill which uses electricity supplied solely from renewable energy sources and is OEKO Tex certified.
This TENCEL™ is made from wood pulp that’s harvested from tree farms that are sustainably managed and traceable. The fiber production itself is more eco-friendly than cotton production due to its’ closed-loop process. This means that up to 99% of the water and solvents used are recycled and reused.
The 6 buttons are made from corozo nuts (Palm Ivory - don’t worry, it’s vegan!) and are left the beautiful natural colour of the corozo. You may be able to see some of the pattina from where the nut is moulded!
