About This Sewing Pattern
The Dan exp Jumpsuit sewing pattern has a wrap-effect bodice with a deep-v neckline and back. 3/4 sleeves finished with cuffs and 2 long waist ties.
Trousers with pin tucks at the front, shaping darts and a waistband at the back. As with all my patterns, there are pockets for your things and ezp® zips for speedy toilet trips!
What Materials You Need
The pattern is drafted for a medium weight woven fabric like linen, cotton, tencel or velvet. Something between 185 - 300gsm/m². You could also use a knit or stretch fabric of the same weight. It needs to be strong enough to hold the weight of 2 zips.
Fabric requirements can be found [here].
You will also need:
- Matching thread
- 1 x button for the waistband - I have used a 24L/15mm button but you can use whatever you choose.
- 2 x 40cm/16” concealed zips
- 1m/1yd iron-on interfacing
- 2 x small flat buttons for the bra strap holders*
- 2 x 10cm/4" (approx) pieces of 5mm width ribbon for the bra strap holders*
- A length of corded flat or buttonhole elastic, half of your waist measurement plus 10cm/4”.
- Optional: you may want to choose a softer lining for the bodice. If so, you will need 1.1m for the largest sizes.
*Bra strap holders: you can buy different options for this, you may want to see what is available in your country!
