The Penny ezp® Jumpsuit Hot Pink Linen
If you have been following Leim for a while, you may recognise The Penny ezp® Jumpsuit from last summer.
I felt like the trousers were perfect for highlighting a beaut bum, but I wanted to update the fit and be a bit more creative with the shape at the back.
Paula (my style development hero) and I put our heads together and came up with this new style. We played with the shape to the back, which now has a button loop at the nape of your neck and 3 buttons lower down, at the waist.
It will be perfect for long afternoons in a pub garden, for weddings or perhaps even in a more casually-dressed office.
How To Use The Bathroom In This Jumpsuit
It's easy - no more faffing around when you need the toilet!
First, undo the buttons either side of the waistband.
Undo the zips each side.
Go about your business.
Once you're done, pull up the zips - carefully! You could do the buttons first if you like, then you have both hands to re-do the zips.
Size + Fit Advice
The Penny ezp® Playsuit fits true to size. The trousers are quite roomy but the waistband and the top part are both fitted. If you prefer a looser fit around your chest (or if you have bigger boobs) you may want to size up.
If you would like a custom leg length, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss - tall and petite people are absolutely welcome here!
The Penny ezp® Jumpsuit has an inside leg measurement of 72.5cm.
Maisie is wearing a size 8 and is 5'7".
Hetty's Styling Tips
I'll be pairing The Penny with a pair of wedges (comfort first) and a pair of statement earrings, this summer.
For cooler evenings, I love a silk neckscarf that I'll wrap once or twice and tie loosely around my throat - I have a few in different colours (my favourite is an orange and green one) and collect them from charity shops. I try not to buy new silk as it's rarely cruelty-free.
What Makes This Jumpsuit Special?
The trousers of this jumpsuit are oh-so flattering. With a flat waistband and clever darts that hug the fabric to the small of your back, this jumpsuit is all about the view from behind.
I have also tried to offer enough support in the front that you wouldn't need to wear a bra with this style.
How To Care for Your Penny ezp® Jumpsuit
The Penny ezp® Jumpsuit is machine washable on a handwash setting with non-biological detergent.
Please try to use an eco, detergent and do not let the buttons 'sit' in water for too long!
You will probably need to iron this jumpsuit on your iron's hottest setting, with plenty of steam - it's linen so can take the heat!
How Is This Jumpsuit Sustainable?
The Penny ezp® Jumpsuit is made from 100% European linen. Linen is made from flax, a strong plant best grown in northern Europe. It needs little or no fertilisers and due to the local climate, little extra water.
The Advisory Commission Report to the European Parliament stated that flax cultivation has positive effects on eco-system diversity as it allows for an “environmental pause”. One hectare of flax can retain 3.7 tonnes of CO2. Every part of the plant is used, what isn’t used to produce linen can be used to make linseed oil, paper, cattle feed or even soap.
It also doesn’t always require the use of pesticides as it can grow in poor quality soil. Linen is therefore almost naturally organic. It is completely biodegradable, recyclable and due to its natural absorbency, it requires less dye than cotton. This means that linen scores high on the ecological chart.
The fabric was made by a mill which uses electricity supplied solely from renewable energy sources and is OEKO Tex certified.
The 6 buttons are made from corozo nuts (Palm Ivory - don’t worry, it’s vegan!) and are left the beautiful natural colour of the corozo. You may be able to see some of the pattina from where the nut is moulded!
